Birthdays and Kitchens!  Happy Birthday Peakles!

This week Peakles has celebrated her 3rd birthday.  It is hard to think that my witty, headstrong and feisty girl is only 36 months old!  Although there are 13 years between Peakles and the Teen, they do seem to be getting on a lot better these days.  The Teen can also  play with her toys   help to look after her more easily now she is more independent!  It became clear how much affection there is between the two of them, when he offered to help make her play kitchen for her birthday.

After researching online the cost of wooden play kitchens I came across some DIY ones on Pinterest and soon an idea had formed!  After finding an old cupboard, a disused tv unit and some bits and bobs in the garage Daddy, Teen and I set to work.  A week later, just in time for her birthday, we finished making a play kitchen!  It is so rewarding for us to make her birthday present and the look on her face when she saw it was fantastic!

Yay! Let's Cook

Peakles couldn’t wait to try it out and we have sampled the delights of fried fish, carrots and broccoli! (Thank you IKEA your soft play food sets are great!) Peakles has then tidied up, washed all the plates in the sink, dried them and then put them away.

All the time she has been chattering away to her toys telling them how you cook dinner in the oven and how you have to wash your hands too!  I must admit I wish I was three again, I would have loved something like this.

Peakles will be having a soft play party complete with a Peppa Pig/Fireman Sam cake on Saturday!  She is very excited and cannot wait for tomorrow!
